  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): processing your enquiry, responding to business communications, and improving our website, where these interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms
  • Pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): where your enquiry relates to entering into a commercial agreement with Becfin, processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which Becfin is subject

Where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis, you have the right to object to this processing. Please see Section 8 for information on how to exercise your rights.

05 Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

  • Enquiry data: retained for up to 3 years from the date of last contact, unless a longer period is required by law or a commercial relationship is established
  • Technical and usage data: retained for up to 12 months from the date of collection
  • Contractual and commercial records: retained for 7 years in accordance with Austrian commercial and tax law (UGB / BAO)

When personal data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

06 Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our website and business (such as hosting, IT, and email services), acting as data processors under written agreements that require them to protect your data
